Shedding light on robotics and mobility technology

11-09-2024 | Melexis | Semiconductors

Melexis is set to showcase its latest innovations at electronica 2024. With a rich heritage in producing cutting-edge semiconductor sensor and driver technology, the company is launching innovations across various markets, including automotive, robotics, and alternative mobility.

The company will be displaying its capabilities empowering engineers to support the best imaginable future:

The company's booth visitors will be among the first to see the MLX90384, the introductory product in its innovative new Arcminaxis range. The device is a high-resolution magnetic 2D rotary encoder specifically created to provide a cost-effective but highly precise encoder for the unique needs of robotic joints. Also, it will preview the MLX90382 high-speed encoder. The company's current robotic sensor tech and these new and upcoming products promise to revolutionise precision and efficiency and allow smarter and more responsive robots and cobots.

In automotive lighting, the company will demonstrate the LIN RGB LED drivers for automotive ambient lighting with the MLX81123 and MLX81124, which present new variants for one of its most prominent automotive lighting drivers. It will also showcase their solution for smart, high-speed automotive lighting animation MeLiBu.

Specifically supporting EV thermal management, the company will also demonstrate the MLX90830 and MLX90834 MEMS pressure sensors, using its patented Triphibian technology. Applicable to a variety of automotive and demanding industrial settings, this portfolio provides the unprecedented measurement of gas and liquid media from 2 to 70 bar.

The company's sensors can be applied to various alternative mobility applications, including e-bikes, electric forklifts and AGVs, drones, off-road and agricultural vehicles, etc. At the show, it will showcase a collection of sensors designed to elevate safety, efficiency, and the overall user experience, whether it is for transporting goods within a warehouse, agricultural harvesting, or even enjoying a leisurely bicycle ride with friends.

Meet Melexis at electronics 2024, Booth 540, Hall B4, 12-15 November 2024.
