Mouser now offers the new LOGO! 8.4 logic modules from Siemens. The modules are cloud-enabled, space-saving interfaces for connecting expansion modules in nearly every application, including industrial automation, predictive maintenance, IoT, smart home and building, and agricultural applications.

The logic modules provide end-to-end connectivity and effortless remote access through preconfigured cloud or independent open MQTT communication. These compact, smart and flexible cloud-enabled logic modules perform special and basic functions, including pulse edge evaluation, timer, counter, and analog functions with 24 digital inputs, 20 digital outputs, eight analog I/O's, and an integrated display field with a parameterisable backlight and operator control panel, featuring EEPROM for control programming and setpoint values.

Using an Ethernet interface for communication with controllers (LOGO! 8, LOGO! TDE, SIMATIC), panels, or PCs, as well as an integrated web server for TD-based or user-defined web pages, the logic modules are a perfect cloud gateway for existing systems. With preconfigured connectivity and open MQTT communication, users can activate and configure a secure, encrypted cloud connection via LOGO! TLS protocol ensures secure data transfer in both directions. Native email despatch functionality permits users to set up data-triggered notification systems and, with live access, it provides cloud access to collected ongoing operations data, enabling users to manage real-time controller data for even greater data efficiency.

Siemens LOGO! Soft Comfort engineering software opens the world of IoT in a few simple steps. The software wizard enables single and network cloud connections with familiar and easy operation. It features automatic communication configuration for up to three programs at once, with drag-and-drop transfer signals from one program to another.
