New A/C outlet analyser and wrist strap tester for ESD security

Inelco Hunter has announced the availability of the new Desco Europe A/C Outlet Analyser and Wrist Strap Tester. The Analyser/Tester ensures ESD protection and security by verifying proper A/C outlet wiring, delivering a ground point and testing the path-to-ground integrity of an operator’s wrist strap.

Two models are offered: a UK Type G Plug or a European Type F Plug. The Testers connect with the Desco 770043 Multi-Ground Hub. The Operator’s Path-To-Ground is tested from 750 kilohms to 35 megohms per IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 Wrist Strap Limits.

The Testers feature visual and audible indicators, while the displays show pass/fail conditions for the outlet and pass condition for the wrist strap. They are NIST Calibrated with accepted procedures and standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The Testers supply a verified common ground point within the EPA for ESD Control items such as mats, carts, tools, etc.
