New thermal conductivity sensor for high volume CO2 measurement applications

01-10-2024 | Mouser Electronics | Semiconductors

Mouser now stocks Sensirion's STC31-C thermal conductivity sensor. This chip-sized gas concentration sensor is for high-range, accurate, high-volume production C02 measurements in battery-operated and sensitive transportation applications.

The sensor features a 16-bit resolution and is an excellent gas concentration sensor choice for applications needing reliability, with a revolutionised thermal conductivity measurement process that delivers superior repeatability and long-term stability for high-quality, demanding, mass production and cost-sensitive OEM applications. The sensor's thermal conductivity technology is based on the company's patented CMOSens technology, which combines the sensor element, signal processing and digital calibration on a small CMOS chip, with a digital I2C interface for direct connection to an MPU and ultimate performance with ultra-low power consumption for battery-operated applications. The sensor features a 2.7V to 5.5V supply voltage range and up to 5mA supply current rating.

Mouser also stocks Sensirion's SEK-STC31-C evaluation kit, which provides a connection with the SEK-SensorBridge environmental sensing kit. The evaluation kit allows users to display and log the sensor signals for multiple sensors using the SEK-ControlCenter software.
