Polymer hybrid capacitor portfolio upgraded with new series

08-10-2024 | Rutronik | Passives

Rutronik is adding two polymer hybrid capacitors series from KEMET to its range: the A780 and the newly introduced A782. Both series are offered in a standard version and a particularly robust anti-vibration variant. They have a high ripple current capability and a particularly low ESR. In addition, the high-performance capacitors provide an outstanding electrical performance of 25VDC-63VDC (nominal current) and work reliably for up to 4,000 hours at operating temperatures of -55C to +135C (A780: up to +125C). The capacitors impress with their robustness, reliability and long service life, even in harsh environments. They are, therefore, ideal for applications in the automotive and industrial sectors.

Both series feature a highly conductive polymer that enables a very low ESR value and a winding impregnated with liquid electrolyte for excellent self-healing mechanisms. Other advantages include low leakage current and high heat and vibration resistance. The components come in a cylindrical aluminium housing with a compact form factor and are surface-mountable for space-saving application. They are halogen-free, RoHS-compliant and AEC-Q200 certified.
