Advantech has updated its ICR-2000/2400/2500/2600 series of industrial cellular routers. These routers are engineered to deliver reliable wireless communication on mobile networks using traditional cellular technologies, focusing on supporting Category 4 (Cat.4) services on LTE networks. The series also includes models utilising the 450MHz band and Cat-M/Cat-NB technology with 450MHz support. Providing robust performance and flexibility, the series is excellent for industrial applications such as environmental monitoring, vending machines, and surveillance. These routers support peak downlink data rates of up to 150Mbps, fulfilling the growing demand for high-speed, secure, and cost-effective network connectivity in industrial environments.

Key Features of the series include:

LTE Cat4 Support: The routers are optimised for Category 4 services on LTE networks, delivering a peak downlink data rate of 150Mbps, ensuring fast and stable wireless communication.

Versatile Connectivity Options: The routers come equipped with up to four Ethernet ports, digital I/O connectivity (1 × DI, 1 × DO), and optional serial interfaces (1 × RS232 + 1 × RS485) for flexible integration into diverse industrial setups.

Wi-Fi and GNSS Capability: Optional built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n with AP, Client, and Multirole modes or optional integrated GNSS functionality is available.

Built for industrial use, the series is created to operate in industrial environmental conditions, ensuring uninterrupted network performance in harsh environments where reliability is paramount. The series also features a rugged metal chassis with an IP-rated enclosure for durability. It also provides dual SIM slots for backup connectivity, ensuring continuous network availability. A wide power input range of 9VDC to 48VDC offers compatibility with different industrial power systems.

The series is fully integrated with WebAccess/DMP, the company's intelligent platform for managing, provisioning, and monitoring routers and IoT gateways. The platform offers zero-touch device enablement for streamlined deployment and multi-tenancy support with role-based access for effective device management. It also provides real-time, scalable health monitoring and secure integration via RESTful APIs.

The company's ICR-OS, a Linux-based operating system, powers the series. It offers a user-friendly web interface for easy configuration and management, robust security features such as HTTPS, SSH, and VPN tunnelling to ensure secure data transmission, and advanced encryption methods and authentication protocols to safeguard industrial networks.

With its extensive feature set, the series supplies reliable, high-speed connectivity for industrial applications, making it an excellent solution for a wide range of industrial IoT and M2M deployments.
