Mouser now supplies the IRIS-W10 modules from u-blox. The modules are a series of high-performance, stand-alone, tri-radio, Wi-Fi 6, and BLE modules that supply strong security and reliability, improved network efficiency, and low power consumption for industrial automation, smart homes and buildings, smart cities, medical and healthcare devices, telematics, and PoS applications.

The modules feature an NXP RW612 wireless MCU with an integrated tri-radio that supports Wi-Fi 6 technology, BLE 5.3, 802.15.4 low-rate wireless networks, Thread, open-standard Matter over Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connectivity. The device is an excellent solution for securely connecting products in business and home ecosystems, including PCB and external antenna options. The powerful open CPU configuration embeds an Arm Cortex-M33 MCU, clocked up to 260MHz, with 1.2MB SRAM and 8MB or 16MB flash. With several peripheral interfaces (UART, USB, SPI, SDIO, RMII, QVGA, I2S, I2C, and GPIOs), the IRIS-W10 modules can operate completely stand-alone, hosting advanced software applications for many different use applications.

The modules trim the PCB outline to 14.6mm x 16.8mm by housing the RF signal on a module pin for routing to an external antenna or antenna connector. They operate with an extended temperature range of -40C to +85C and feature global certification, greatly reducing project time and expense.

The u-blox EVK-IRIS-W10 evaluation kits are also available to order. The EVK-IRIS-W10 board supports all pins and interfaces on IRIS-W10 series modules, resulting in easy accessibility. Simple USB connections serve as the physical interfaces for the power, programming COM ports, debugging, and USB peripheral connectors. Also, the u-blox EVK-IRIS-W10 features other interfaces like Ethernet RJ45 and an SDIO header.
