Improved and expanded balun series now covers wider frequency range

29-11-2024 | Wurth | Power

Würth Elektronik has expanded its WE-BAL series of baluns. The components for coupling symmetrical and asymmetrical transmission lines use improved materials and manufacturing processes and now cover a wider frequency range, from 673MHz to 5900MHz.

In multiple applications, such as antenna systems, audio and video devices, wireless communication systems, PoE systems, and measuring instruments, it is essential to couple symmetrical and asymmetrical transmission lines to prevent signal loss. Thanks to their wide frequency range, the SMT baluns improve signal transmission and minimise interference across many applications. The SMT baluns with symmetrical impedance ranging from 50-Ohm to 200-Ohms provide a compact design (in 0603 and 0805 packages) and low insertion loss of up to a maximum of 2dB.
