Ultra-high power thin film chip resistors in 1206 size and rated at 1W

20-11-2024 | Stackpole | Passives

Industrial electronic controls and instrumentation demand components that can handle high power, provide stability in harsh environments and maintain precise tolerances with low TCR. Conventional film chip resistors often fail to deliver high power and high precision – particularly thin-film resistors, which usually have limited power ratings.

Stackpole Electronic’s RNCU1206 resistor fills this gap with impressive specifications: tight tolerances down to 0.1%, TCRs as low as 10ppm, and a robust 1W power rating, surpassing the 0.33W to 0.5W ratings of many comparable thin-film resistors in the 1206 size. The RNCU series is AEC-compliant and anti-sulphur and shows low resistance drift, typically under 0.25% in standard reliability tests, making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial applications.
