Electrolytic polymer hybrid capacitors for high ripple current and low ESR support

TTI IP&E – Europe now stocks the ZV series from Panasonic Industry. The AEC-Q200-compliant electrolytic polymer hybrid capacitor range sets new industry performance standards with high ripple current and low ESR.

The series capacitors attain a ripple current between 3.3 to 4.6 Arms, approximately 50% greater than similar-sized offerings available, delivering outstanding performance in rigorous applications. With an ESR of 12mOhm at 35V, the capacitors greatly improve efficiency and reliability in electronics systems over the usual 16mOhm ESR found in comparable capacitors.

With AEC-Q200 compliance, the series fulfils stringent quality control measures, which are especially crucial for the automotive industry. These capacitors are designed to endure ‘under the hood’ temperatures, with a rating of 4000 hours at temperatures of +135C and +125C. The series also includes variants that are vibration-resistant and capable of enduring shocks up to 30G, therefore ensuring reliability.

The ZV series caters to different automotive applications, including water pumps, oil pumps, cooling fans, high-current DC-DC converters, and ADAS. Also, these capacitors are suited to inverter power supplies employed in robotics, cooling fans, solar power systems, and more, serving inverter and rectifier circuits on the DC side.
