Four-strand and six-strand multi-fibre distribution cable assemblies released

07-01-2025 | L-com | Industrial

L-com, an Infinite Electronics brand, launched its new line of four-strand and six-strand multi-fibre distribution cable assemblies. The four-strand fibre optic assemblies are ideal for smaller, lower-demand setups, while six strands can accommodate medium to large-scale installations that predict future growth and expanding bandwidth needs.

These cost-effective indoor breakout assemblies are designed for enterprise networking, data centres, cloud-based services and AI-based data storage and communications. They are ideal for use in data centres, LANs, passive optical networks and intra-building backbones. They can also be employed for head-end termination to fibre backbones and multi-floor deployments.

The company’s new multi-fibre distribution assemblies provide a wide range of connectors, fibre modes, jackets and lengths to suit various needs. Connector combinations are standard SC-SC or, for higher-density installations, the more compact LC-LC. Fibre modes include shorter-range multimode OM5, OM3 or OM1 fibre or longer-range single-mode OS2. Cable jacket options are general-purpose PVC, flame-retardant OFNR-rated riser, or even more flame-retardant OFNP-rated plenum. Standard cable assembly lengths of 5m, 10m or 15m are available.

These pre-terminated cable assemblies can be installed immediately for quick deployment and lower maintenance costs. Also, they are scalable to suit a user’s growing needs, supporting increasing bandwidth and connectivity demands.

“Our new four-strand and six-strand assemblies are both cost-effective and offer exceptional performance,” said product line manager Diana Nottingham. “They are perfect for businesses looking to enhance their network infrastructure without compromising on cost or quality.”
