Advantech has unveiled the AIMB-219, a THIN Mini-ITX board equipped with the latest Atom platform. It supports Atom N-series, Atom x7000RE, and Intel Core i3 N-series processors, supplying a 2.5x increase in CPU performance and 2x improvement in graphics. Designed for fanless operation in temperatures ranging from -20C to 70C, the AIMB-219 ensures quiet and stable operation.

Its compact, low-profile Mini-ITX design is excellent for space-limited systems and provides abundant I/O connectivity, including USB Type-C and M.2 B-/E-Key. With outstanding performance and advanced design features, the device is ideal for industrial automation and control, outdoor self-service kiosks, digital signage, and in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVD) that need efficient computing in diverse, confined spaces.

The AIMB-219 provides various SKU options, including Atom N-series, Atom x7000RE, and Intel Core i3 N-series processors. The Intel Core i3-N305, the most powerful processor in the Atom lineup, boasts a 2.5x improvement in computing performance over the processor in the AIMB-218. It delivers exceptional efficiency with up to eight cores, a burst frequency of 3.8GHz, and a TDP of under 15W.

Also, it features Intel UHD Graphics based on Intel Xe architecture, with up to 32 EUs, providing double the 3D Mark performance and superior computational capabilities compared to the Intel Core ULT processor (i3-8145U). Further, the classic Atom N97 (part of the N-series) shows remarkable improvements, with a 1.6x increase in computing performance and a 2x boost in graphics performance compared to the previous Atom generation.

The device is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -20C to +70C, employing a fanless thermal solution for reliable performance in diverse outdoor environments with limited space. These features lower operational risks and enhance the user experience across various applications. With components chosen for their resistance to extreme temperatures, it is ideal for factory automation and outdoor kiosks where temperature fluctuations are common, ensuring uninterrupted operation. The fanless design eliminates noise pollution, making the device more compact and suited to mobile system integration. It is ideal for environments where quiet operation is essential, such as digital signage and in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVD).

Designed for space-constrained applications, the device integrates essential I/Os, including triple independent displays (1 x DP over USB Type-C, 1 x HDMI up to 4K, and 1 x LVDS or eDP), to improve system configuration. This setup ensures outstanding visual output across multiple screens, ideal for outdoor signage and kiosks. The platform also features abundant expansion options, including M.2 B-Key and E-Key for wireless connections, simplifying mobile device deployment, and ensuring seamless connectivity with 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 2, 5 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB Type-C, and 6 x COM ports.

Also, the AIMB-219 supports ccTalk and TTL protocols via serial port, providing stable data transmission and easing system integration for self-service kiosks and entertainment equipment. This THIN Mini-ITX board merges all these features within a 1U low-profile height, improving the aesthetics of any system.
