The Voltcraft WB-430 thermal imager now available on Conrad Electronic’s Sourcing Platform. The device is a high-quality industrial-grade product that allows scanning and analysing thermal data of a variety of scenarios. Single components, modules, machinery, plant and buildings – early detection of potential or existing issues prevents production downtime and unnecessary repair costs.

“Infrared cameras are essential if you want to assess thermal data quickly when it comes to all aspects of QA, the design of electronic components and troubleshooting industrial production plant,” explains Harald Lehner, product manager for Voltcraft test equipment.

The device operates at a frame rate of 50Hz, reliably detecting thermal leaks, overheating roller and friction bearings, and HVAC failures, displaying them in detail using a 384 x 288 bolometer grid. The high-quality camera lens with manual focus option ensures accurate measurement and evaluation for short and long distance. Using 12 selectable colour palettes and a wide range of temperature readings covering -20C bis +650C make the device an all-purpose thermal camera for single electronic components and entire buildings.

The thermal imager comes with a built-in touchscreen, making setting up the device as easy as possible. Moreover, the product features a 2MP digital camera whose pictures can be superimposed onto the thermal recordings. Combining the two images makes identifying trouble spots easier, particularly when analysing electronic circuitry.

The camera’s Wi-Fi capability and a built-in USB-C port allow data exchange with and storage on external media. Moreover, Wi-Fi can be used to live stream thermal recordings. Users can carry out easy-to-understand in-depth assessments on a tablet, smartphone or desktop PC. Also, the camera features 3.5GB internal memory and a microSD card slot. Its robust and ergonomic design and its easy use make the WB-430 a reliable asset in the most challenging conditions.

Harald Lehner points out: “Despite everyone being on a tight budget, Voltcraft offer surprisingly affordable equipment solutions, and in doing so, do not compromise on product accuracy and reliability. All our testers come with an option of ISO-certified calibration, carried out by accredited testing bodies.”
