New MEMS microphones provide wide operating frequency ranges

07-06-2023 | CUI Devices | Semiconductors

CUI Devices' Audio Group has added three new MEMS microphone models offering wide frequency ranges from 20Hz to 20,000Hz. The CMM-2718AB-38162W-TR, CMM-2718AB-38164W-TR, and CMM-2718AT-38164W-TR are all analogue MEMS microphones featuring -38dB sensitivity ratings and tight sensitivity tolerances of ±1dB. Providing top or bottom port versions, these wide-frequency range MEMS microphones are housed in compact, surface mount packages measuring as small as 2.75mm x 1.85mm x 0.9mm, making them excellent for various portable electronic devices and wearables.

The models carry acoustic overload points (AOP) of 123dB or 128dB SPL, signal-to-noise ratios of 62dBA or 64dBA, and current consumption as low as 150µA. All models are omnidirectional and reflow solder compatible.

For helpful resources and tools on MEMS microphones, the company's Resource Library houses a range of blog posts, videos, and more.

Typical applications include smartphones, wearables, smart home devices, and portable electronics.
