New series of waveguide frequency multipliers generate high frequencies

Pasternack now offers a new line of waveguide frequency multipliers with a 26.5GHz to 110GHz range, including popular mmWave waveguide bands: Ka, U, V, E and W.

The company now provides an innovative series of in-stock waveguide frequency multipliers for 5G, test and measurement, radar systems, research and development, mobile and satellite communications, and weather and earth observation applications.

These waveguide frequency multipliers provide output power from +10dBm to +20dBm and DC voltages from +6VDC to +15VDC. They supply input frequency multiplication ranges from 2x to 6x the output and support female SMA connectors.

The new multipliers support highly efficient performance in a smaller package size. They are created with GaAs and GaN MMIC semiconductor technology for lower conversion loss.

These frequency multipliers are rugged and compact with defence-grade, gold-plated aluminium waveguide package designs. They also ensure all-weather performance with operational temperatures from -10C to +60C, exposure to 95% relative humidity and an altitude of 10,000ft.

“Designers will find these broadband frequency multipliers useful in developing lower frequency signals with lower power and less expensive devices in a microwave frequency band, and then multiplying to generate an output signal to a desired mm-Wave frequency. Models are available in stock with no minimum order quantity,” said Tim Galla, product line manager.
