Tactical-grade ruggedised IMUs for precise measurements in harsh conditions

Mouser now stocks the 3DM-GV7 tactical-grade ruggedised IMU from MicroStrain by HBK. Explicitly developed to meet the precise timing and environmental challenges of the robotics and automation industries, the IMUs deliver high-precision inertial measurements in a durable package. The IMUs support a range of applications, including AGV, AMR, antenna and camera positioning, and industrial automation.

The IMUs are packaged in a precision-machined aluminium enclosure and tested to an IP68 rating for reliability in harsh conditions. Precision alignment features and an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C ensure accurate measurements across demanding applications.

The IMUs include an advanced extended Kalman filter and cutting-edge orientation algorithms for improved accuracy and reduced response times. The devices also feature user-adjustable gyroscope and accelerometer ranges, adjustable sampling rates, and a custom event trigger system. SensorConnect software facilitates configuration, control, display, and data logging, while the MSCL open-source API simplifies integration.
