Three-phase bridge power modules deliver reliable operation

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc now offers three new series of 130A to 300A three-phase bridge power modules in the ultra-compact MTC package that provides reliable operation for heavy-duty industrial applications. The devices are built at the company's assembly site in Mumbai and are excluded from extra tariffs.

The 130A VS-131MT…C, 160A VS-161MT…C, and 300A VS-301MT…C series are optimised for line-frequency input rectification in SMPS, welding machines, battery chargers, plasma cutting, and motor control. The encapsulated devices provide a rugged design for these applications, while its highly conductive MTC package supplies excellent thermal behaviour.

Providing a simple screw-mount connection to lower assembly time, each power module series is offered with blocking voltages of 1600V and 1800V. The devices provide 3600VRMS isolation voltage, low forward voltage down to 1.54V and low junction-to-case thermal resistance down to 0.038C/W. Developed and qualified for industrial-level applications, the RoHS-compliant solutions are UL-approved, file E78996.
