Wireless measurement instrument offers enhanced C-V2X functions

18-10-2022 | Anritsu | Test & Measurement

Anritsu Company introduced the LTE-V2X PSCCH TX Measurement MX. The device has 887068A-001 software option improving the Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) measurement function of Universal Wireless Test Set MT8870A/MT8872A.

Adding this new option to the LTE-V2X Tx Measurement MX887068A software for the solution not only assists the Physical Sidelink Shared Channel (PSSCH) for LTE-V2X (PC5) but also supports RF measurement of the Physical Sidelink Control Channel (PSCCH). As well as helping mass production of LTE-V2X (PC5) devices, this option aids evaluation of R&D RF test items.

By releasing this software option, the company supports pre-release laboratory evaluation testing of V2X devices and configures an effective test environment for R&D and mass production.

It will cooperate with other radio access technologies, such as 5G V2N and the GNSS and is expected to be adopted for Connected Autonomous Vehicle applications.

Japan, Europe, and China are examining the introduction of V2X to the NCAP, and RF evaluation of V2X is growing increasingly important from the safety aspect. V2X communications technology is employed for DSRC, such as ITS, and C-V2X utilising mobile communication technology with a wider communication range is also being investigated.

The company is continuing to develop multiple future automotive test solutions for wireless connectivity, ITS, AD/ADAS, infotainment, and more, to assist the automotive industry in securing autonomous driving and a safe and secure society.

The series is intended to develop and mass-produce various wireless communication equipment, modules, and more. Installing up to four high-performance test units in the main unit supports a seamless frequency band of up to 7.3GHz with a 200MHz bandwidth.

Each unit measures independently in parallel, allowing it to quickly and simultaneously evaluate numerous wireless communications devices.
