At Embedded World North America, Electropages stopped by Blecon and spoke with founder Simon Ford about their cutting-edge Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. Simon highlighted how Blecon is developing a Bluetooth network that operates without the need for pairing, making it behave more like a cellular or LoRa network while using affordable Bluetooth chips. This allows devices to communicate seamlessly with cloud applications without the typical constraints of Bluetooth.
Simon also detailed how Blecon's technology enables flexible data transmission across large environments like warehouses, using devices such as smartphones or laptops as BLE hotspots. With a recent seed round funding of $4.6 million, Blecon is set to scale their solutions and support a growing customer base.
