Cambridge GaN Devices Unveils High-Power GaN Innovations at PCIM 2024

At PCIM Europe 2024, Electropages met with Andrea Bricconi from Cambridge GaN Devices to explore their latest advancements in Gallium Nitride (GaN) power ICs. Founded in 2016, Cambridge GaN Devices specialises in designing and commercialising GaN power transistors with embedded logic, making them easy to interface with gate drivers and controllers.

Initially targeting the consumer market with 650V power ICs, they have now expanded into high-power products for applications exceeding 1 kilowatt, such as servers and high-power electronics. Andrea highlighted the efficiency and compact size of their new products, emphasising their potential in data centres and automotive sectors, where GaN technology can significantly enhance power density and efficiency.
