Infineon PSOC™ Edge MCU Unveiled - EW24

The Electropages team visited Infineon at Embedded World 2024 and met with Omar Cruz, a Senior Product Manager at Infineon. Omar provided a comprehensive overview of their new microcontroller, the PSOC™ Edge, and its capabilities. The demonstration highlighted a video game that uses radar sensors to detect motion, incorporating advanced processing features of the microcontroller. This includes gesture detection via machine learning and graphics processing, all integrated into a single chip. 

Omar detailed the microcontroller's architecture, focusing on the security features such as a secure enclave that contains crypto acceleration and tamper protection, emphasising its robust security design.
