Bi-directional zero-drift current-shunt monitors

16-09-2015 | Mouser Electronics | Power

Texas Instruments' INA21x bi-directional zero-drift current-shunt monitors are now available from Mouser stock. The voltage-output device monitors can sense drops across shunts at common-mode voltages from -0.3V to 26V. This is done independent of the supply voltage. These are available in five fixed gains. The low offset of the zero-drift architecture enables current sensing with maximum drops across the shunt as low as 10mV full-scale. The devices operate from a single 2.7V to 26V power supply and draw a maximum of 100µA of supply current. All versions are specified over the extended operating temperature range of -40C to 125C. They are offered in an SC70 package or thin UQFN package. Applications include notebook computers, cell phones, telecom equipment, power management, battery chargers and welding equipment.
