Dual synchronous step-down controller satisfies various computer needs

22-09-2015 | Mouser Electronics | Power

Mouser now stocks the Texas Instruments (TI) TPS51275B-1, a cost-effective dual synchronous step-down controller for notebook, tablet and desktop computer system-power supplies. The device has 5V and 3.3V low-dropout regulators (LDOs) and requires few external components. The 260kHz VCLK output can be used to drive an external charge pump. This generates a gate drive voltage for the load switches without reducing the main converter efficiency. The TPS51275B-1 device supports high efficiency, fast transient response and provides a combined power-good signal. Adaptive on-time, D-CAP control provides convenient and efficient operation, says the company.
