High-quality low-noise supplies target harsh-environment applications

Mean Well's HEP-100/150/185 harsh-environment power supply is now available from Mouser stock. The low-noise high-grade AC/DC power supply series is designed to operate in extreme conditions and temperatures. The HEP-100/150/185 units provide rated power of 100W, 150W, or 185W respectively. The supplies have an aluminium case with an interior that is fully potted with heat-conducted silicone. They are equipped with IP65 protection against the ingress of dust and water (optional IP68 level models are also available). The devices also feature up to 10G anti-vibration capability. Efficiency is up to 94% and the HEP-100/150/185 devices operate in a -55C to +70C temperature range. HEP-100/150/185 power supply series accepts a wide input range of 90 to 305VAC and offers output voltages of 12V, 15V, 24V, 36V, 48V, or 54V. The devices are ideal for use in industrial control applications in harsh environments, including outdoor telecommunication equipment, outdoor electronic signage and billboards, and petroleum plants or mine shaft facilities.
