Mouser has announced it is the first global authorized distributor to stock
and ship the new S24SP DC-DC converters from Delta Electronics / Power.
Based on an industry-standard footprint and pinout, the S24SP series
consists of high-efficiency, single-output DC-DC converters available in 40W
and 60W models with efficiencies of up to 93 percent. Equipped with standard
features such as over-current protection, over-voltage protection,
over-temperature protection, and remote on/off, the S24SP series is aimed at
applications where space on the PCB is critical.
The converters feature an ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage range from 9V to 36V,
and an output voltage range from 5V to 24V, with maximum output current
rated from 1.7A to 12A. All models offer single-output, fixed-frequency
operation, and a standard operating temperature of -40C to +85C. An optional
heat sink is also available for more extreme thermal requirements. The S24SP
series provides many models to choose from, with efficiencies of up to 93.7
percent, and power choices in either 40W or 60W varieties. The DC/DC
converters are offered in two package options: a 50.8mm × 25.4mm × 10.5mm
package (without heat sink) or a 50.8mm × 25.4mm × 17.5mm package (with heat
sink). The S24SP series is RoHS compliant and meets the safety and
reliability requirements for UL 60950.
Typical space-constrained applications include process control and
automation, transportation, data / telecom equipment, test equipment, and
medical devices.
