Compact mid-power LEDs suit elongated luminaire and lighting designs

Mouser is now stocking the SYNIOS E4014 family of LEDs from OSRAM Opto
Semiconductors. Aimed at providing uniform, homogeneous light distribution,
the SYNIOS E4014 family mid-power LEDs feature a low-profile and
highly-robust 0.65mm pre-mould package. The LEDs are ideal for elongated
luminaire and lighting designs where coupling the flux output into light
guides is desired. The uniform light distribution, high efficiency, design
flexibility and 50,000-hour lifetime make the LEDs ideal for a variety of
consumer, industrial, and transportation applications.
Two types are available: the DPLS31and the DPLS32 . The DPLS31 LEDs have a
typical optical efficiency in white colour illumination rated at 110 lm/W,
and a colour chromaticity of 0.29 (Cx) and 0.28 (Cy) according to CIE 1931.
By comparison, the DPLS32 LEDs have a typical optical efficiency in white
colour illumination rated at 110 lm/W at 4,000K, a colour temperature rating
(CTR) from 2,700K to 6,500K, and a Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of 80
(minimum). All LEDs in the SYNIOS E4014 family feature a 4mm × 1.4mm ×
0.65mm robust rectangular pre-mould package that provides reliable,
long-term lumen and colour maintenance operation. The LEDs are based on an
InGaN on Sapphire technology, and can withstand up to 8kV of ESD voltage
according to ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001 (HBM, Class 3B).
The LEDs are available in a compact surface-mount package, delivering a beam
angle of 120 degrees and illumination colour options of warm white, cool
white, or neutral white. The LEDs target a broad range of lighting
applications, including LCD backlighting, automotive interior, consumer
appliances, industrial illumination, transportation, aircraft interior and
vending machines.
