Now available from Mouser, the Texas Instruments (TI) TPS54295 2A
dual-channel synchronous step-down switcher enables the design of power bus
regulators with a low component count and low standby current solution.
The main control loops of the TI TPS54295 uses the D-CAP2 mode control for
fast transient response with no external compensation components. The
adaptive on-time control supports seamless transition between PWM mode at
higher load conditions and Eco-mode operation at light loads. Eco-mode
allows the TPS54295 to maintain high efficiency during lighter load
conditions.
The device is able to adapt to both low equivalent series resistance (ESR)
output capacitors such as and ultra-low ESR, ceramic capacitors. TPS54295 is
ideal for use in digital TV power supplies, DVD players/recorders, and other
low-power systems. The PS54295EVM-057 evaluation module (EVM) is also
available.
