CDM Electronics has announced it is now a full-line stocking distributor for Winchester Electronics' comprehensive range of rack and panel, and combination D-subminiature / combo D-sub interfaces. The portfolio includes complete series of backplane connector systems, input / output (I/O) connectors, power connectors and accessories. Comprised of five series of Combo D-Sub connectors and 19 series of Rack and Panel connectors, devices meet or exceed all applicable industrial, commercial, military and aerospace standards. Parts are supplied in a variety of configurations, along with standard and custom mounting hardware and accessories to support optimal design flexibility for new product development, as well as retrofit applications. CDM inventories over 60,500 discrete Winchester connectors, representing over 340 part numbers. Winchester's complete product offering is available online from CDM. Rack and Panel and Combo D-Sub connectors are the ideal interface solution for mission-critical applications in which space, weight, long service life and high vibration and shock resistance are factors. Parts are widely employed in a range of military, aerospace, space, medical, video, automotive, test and measurement, process control, telecommunications, and mass transit applications. They are frequently specified for use in defence communications infrastructure and system control, telecommunications equipment and communications networks, industrial automation and robotics, and in video and broadcast electronics. The interfaces are also highly appropriate in medical, diagnostic and research equipment, mainframe and peripheral computers, portable equipment, instrumentation, and alternative energy signal and control equipment. Combo D-Sub interfaces' high-density space saving package integrates signal, power, and RF coaxial contacts within industry standard D shell sizes and installed inserts. Devices are supplied in 50ohm or 75ohm versions and support current loads of 10A, 20A or 40A per contact. A Combo D-Sub series is offered with RF contacts capable of operating up to 5GHz. Rack and panel series for cable-to-cable, cable-to-panel, and cable-to-board applications include systems compliant with MIL-C-28748 specifications. Connectors are provided with 9-104 contacts, rated to 13A per contact. They feature polarized jackscrews to ensure positive threaded coupling, aluminium hoods for durability, and removable contacts to allow easy assembly.
