Extremely compact transponder coils for PEPS car access systems

18-10-2016 | Mouser Electronics | Passives

Stocked by Mouser, the EPCOS / TDK B82451L series transponder coils are z-axis coils for passive entry, passive start (PEPS) car access systems. With their dimensions of just 7.7mm x 7.4mm x 2.65mm the components are extremely compact and feature a very low insertion height. The series comprises seven transponder coils covering an inductance range from 1.0mH to 10.0mH. Depending on the type, the transponder coils feature a sensitivity of between 7mV/µT and 23mV/µT at 125kHz. The Q factor of the new components is between 50 and 58. The injection-moulded plastic baseplate and laser-welded connections of the winding ensure that the new Z transponder coils are extremely robust and are qualified according to AEC-Q200.
