The high-power IR OSLON Black series of IR (infrared) LEDs, from Osram Opto Semiconductors and available now from RS Components, offer stacked power, a compact package and long lifetime. They are a family of small IR LEDs with more than 1W of optical power. The devices feature the superior corrosion robustness of their Black series package. They offer high efficiency, low thermal resistance and wavelengths suitable for CMOS/CCD cameras. The series IR emitter is ideal for applications including infrared illumination for cameras, surveillance systems, traffic number plate recognition and toll systems, biometrics, night vision systems, touch screens and machine vision systems.
