Mouser now stocks the BLU Sense module from UDOO. The versatile and affordable BLU Sense module is fully compatible with UDOO X86 single board computers, providing ideal an wireless I/O extension for IoT platforms.
The module has a Texas Instruments CC2650 Arm Cortex-M3 processor plus a six-axis accelerometer and magnetometer gyroscope, and a three-axis digital gyroscope for motion-sensing applications. The module provides Bluetooth low energy 4.1, Zigbee, and 6LoWPAN connectivity and is powered by a button-cell battery or an external power supply of maximum 5.5V. The device comprises three user-configurable LEDs, eight digital GPIOs, and six analogue inputs.
The 45mm × 35mm module’s snap-in I2C connector enables engineers to connect UDOO BRICKS modules, providing a broad array of opportunities for customisation and expanded functionality. UDOO BRICKS work along a cascade configuration, allowing engineers to connect many sensors to the module.
The module is supported by the UDOO BLU Manager app for Android devices. Using the app, engineers can manage and view multiple UDOO BLU devices, read data from connected BRICKS modules, configure GPIO pins, and update firmware.
