Telemecanique Sensors has added a new sensor for mobile equipment. The device has two high-level safety certifications.
OsiSense XS was designed with mobile equipment applications in mind. It is claimed to be the first product to have both E2 and SIL2 certifications. Its innovative design featured complementary NO and NC outputs, eliminating the redundancy of having two detection chains.
SIL2 certification satisfies the need for an increased level of safety in automated systems. The additional E2 certification is a new international standard especially dedicated to electromagnetic environments on mobile equipment, that guarantees a high level of electromagnetic withstand for mobile equipment.
The presence of both NO and NC outputs enables quick detection of a mechanical or electrical failure.
