Mouser is now stocking the ICP-10100 MEMS capacitive barometric pressure sensor from InvenSense, a TDK Group company. The ICP-10100 achieves the industry’s lowest pressure noise and power consumption and ensures excellent temperature stability for applications such as drones, mobile devices, IoT, and wearables.
The single-axis pressure sensor achieves what is claimed to be the industry’s lowest pressure noise of 0.4Pa RMS and lowest power consumption of 1.3µA at 1Hz. The tiny MEMS sensor measures extremely small pressure differences of ±1Pa, which enables the device to detect altitude changes of less than 5cm. The sensor offers a full pressure operating range of 30kPa to 110kPa and assures exceptional temperature stability with a temperature coefficient of ±0.5Pa per degree Celsius.
The combination of high accuracy, low power, temperature stability, and waterproofing in a small footprint enables improved activity identification, mobile indoor and outdoor navigation, altitude-hold in drones, and extended battery life of always-on motion-sensing applications.
