KOA Speer WK73R Thick Film Wide Terminal Resistors offer a power rating range of 0.5W to 2W. They are available now from Mouser. The resistors can achieve a high power rating due to the reverse geometry design, providing greater heat dissipation. The resistors give superior thermal shock characteristics, solder joint resistance, and very good overall heat resistance with an operating temperature of -55C to +155C. The higher power rating of the components affords a desire for downsizing to allow for more available board space.
The resistors deliver high reliability with a low TCR of ±100ppm/C or ±200ppm/C with resistance tolerances of 0.5%, 1%, and 5%. The reverse geometry components are RoHS Compliant, and AEC-Q200 qualified. The resistors are ideal for use in ECU, automotive power supplies (DC-DC conversion), and industrial power supplies.
