The Texas Instruments TPSM84624 power module is an easy-to-use integrated power supply that combines a 6A DC-DC converter together with power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor and passives within a small form-factor QFM package. This solution provides as few as six external components while preserving the ability to adjust key parameters to satisfy specific design requirements. Ultra-fast transient response can be attained by use of the TurboTrans feature. TurboTrans enables the transient response to be optimised for decreased output voltage deviation with less necessary output capacitance.
The 7.5mm x 7.5mm x 5.3mm, 24-pin QFM package is simple to solder to a PCB and has great power-dissipation capability. The device provides flexibility with many features including programmable UVLO, power good, tracking, pre-bias start-up, as well as overcurrent and overtemperature protection making it an excellent product to power a broad range of devices and systems.
