The Texas Instruments LMR14010A is a PWM DC-DC buck (step-down) regulator. With a wide input range from 4V to 40V, it is ideal for a broad range of applications from automotive to industrial. An ultra-low 1µA shutdown current increases battery life. Operating frequency is fixed at 0.7MHz, enabling the use of small external components while minimising output ripple voltage. Soft-start and compensation circuits are performed internally, limiting the number of external components.
The device is optimised for up to 1A load current. It has a 0.765V nominal feedback voltage.
The device has built-in protection options such as thermal sensing, pulse-by-pulse current limit and shutdown due to excessive power dissipation. The device is offered in a low profile TSOT-6L package (2.9mm x 1.6mm x 0.85mm).
