Data security products to support businesses with GDPR

RS Components has a range of expert data security products to help companies comply with the European Union’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which took effect on 25th May 2018. These include products from 3M, Kingston Technology and the company’s own RS Pro range. The company provides a wide range of competitively priced data security products, including three from Kingston Technology featuring 256-bit XTS-AES hardware encryption. The IronKey D300 is a series of USB 3.0 flash memory drives with capacities up to 128Gbyte. Each drive is secured in a zinc case with a tamper-evident epoxy seal and additional physical security measures – certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 3 – to prevent unauthorised access to the cryptographic module. The company also offers privacy filters from 3M that prevent 'visual hacking' of personal or confidential information from unauthorised observers. Available for monitors and laptop screens of various sizes, the privacy filters use microlouvre technology to black out side views of the screen, leaving the displayed image visible only to the person directly in front of it. The filters also protect the screen from scratching and can reduce glare and reflections.
