Flexible light pipe systems offer an elegant and cost-efficient solution

Foremost Electronics now provides flexible light guide/light pipe systems from MENTOR. The company provide precision optics that precisely manage the light emitted from the latest powerful LEDs. These systems offer an elegant and cost-efficient solution for many optoelectronic design challenges. These versions are created for using with SMD TOP LEDs. These light guides push-fit into a polycarbonate housing that is installed on the PCB with two press-in lugs. As standard, a transparent lens is provided for use at the visible end. Different coloured lenses are offered, as are custom lengths.
