Honeywell's HPM series particle sensor is now available from TTI Europe. The product is intended to work in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and consumer products such air purifiers to measure air quality in homes, buildings and public spaces.
The sensor uses laser technology to precisely and cost-effectively monitor for fine, inhalable particles that are 2.5 micrometres in diameter or smaller. The laser-based sensor uses a light-scattering method to precisely detect and count particles in the concentration range of 0µg/m3 to 1,000µg/m3 in a particular environment. The sensor then analyses the particulate size and concentration in real time to allow systems to offer alerts and enable operators to take remediation actions.
With its heavy industrial level electromagnetic compatibility, the series sensor operates accurately in harsh, challenging environments. Building operators profit from the sensor's industry-leading long life of 20,000 hours, which provides for stable operations and continuous use. The new sensor can be used in a range of consumer products such as automotive air systems, air purifiers and mobile air quality detectors.
