New motor circuit range delivers advanced protection capabilities

RS Components has announced the TeSys GV4 range of motor circuit breakers from Schneider Electric. Offering a complete set of advanced features and functions, the highly compact TeSys GV4 product line links digital intelligence with robust and reliable protection for motor applications. Importantly, the products have also been built to perform in the toughest environments, such as in refineries, cement plants, wastewater treatment facilities, crane hoisting machines and many other challenging applications. Designed to deliver continuous operation and reduce motor downtime under the toughest of conditions, the device is the only motor circuit breaker available today that merges basic circuit breaker protection with a variety of advanced features and the ability to handle up to 55kW of power and current up to 115A. The range provides three types of protection: magnetic for the GV4L model; electronic thermal magnetic for the GV4P, which is dual-class 10 and 20 with a broad range of overload settings; and electronic thermal magnetic with adjustable advanced protection and alarming features for the GV4PEM. Alarming and fault differentiation options are also offered with the optional SDx side module. All these advanced protection and pre-alarm features allow better process control and awareness of problems before they happen.
