Quadruple differential line drivers for motor drives and factory automotive applications

11-10-2018 | Texas Instruments | Power

Texas Instruments SN75ALS174A Quadruple Differential Line Drivers are optimised for balanced multipoint bus transmission at rates of up to 20Mbit/s. The device is intended to meet the specifications of ANSI Standards EIA/TIA-422-B and RS-485. The drivers are perfect for party-line applications in noisy settings via wide positive and negative common-mode output voltage ranges. Protection from line fault conditions on the transmission bus line is given through positive and negative-current limiting and thermal shutdown features. Shutdown happens at a junction temperature of approximately 150C. The device operates at temperatures from 0C to 70C. The device is ideal for use in motor drives, and factory automation and control.
