Bluetooth dual mode modules ideal for IoT, home and industrial applications

The Microchip RN4678 Bluetooth Dual-Mode Modules are designed with an integral ceramic chip antenna and RF shield to embed Bluetooth functionality into any application. These modules are available now from Mouser. These modules transfer data through the Bluetooth link by sending/receiving data through Transparent UART in the BLE mode and through SPP in Bluetooth (BT) Classic mode. The modules feature a 2.4GHz transceiver, onboard Bluetooth stack, RF power amplifier, and power management subsystem. These modules consist of castellated pads for simple and reliable host PCB mounting. The Bluetooth modules can independently manage a low-power wireless connection and are compatible with standard pick-and-place equipment. These modules consist of ASCII interface that gives an easy way to integrate the module with any MCU with a UART interface. The parameters of the modules can be configured directly through UART by the host MCU. Typical applications include IoT, health and fitness, home and security, industrial and data logger, LED lighting, and secure payment.
