Mouser is now offering the Redpine Signals RS9116 family of modules . The family offers reliable multi-protocol wireless connectivity for a wide variety of low-power applications, including industrial sensors, fitness bands, security cameras, and smart locks, and IoT devices.

The modules support multi-protocol wireless connectivity with Bluetooth 5, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 802.11abgn Wi-Fi, and 802.15.4 able to run Thread or Zigbee. The modules provide an integrated baseband processor with RF transceiver, high-power amplifier, calibration memory, and flash memory. The modules’ architecture allows optimised transitions between high-performance and low-power operating modes, enabling the devices to maintain a Wi-Fi standby associated power of less than 90µA. Furthermore, the devices incorporate an ultra-low-power wake-up receiver with secure wake-up pattern to stop battery drain attack. The modules are offered in either embedded (WiSeConnect) or hosted (n-Link) configurations for simple integration with various processor families and operating systems.

Mouser also stocks the RS9116 development tools. Available in single-band (2.4GHz) and dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) versions, the Evaluation Kits offer a single platform that allows evaluation of both n-Link and WiSeConnect modules. Each kit incorporates an RS9116 baseboard, wireless daughter card, and necessary cables, plus a sample driver and applications to test security modes, wireless functionality, and more.
