PULS Power has added a ruggedised unit featuring an integrated high-efficiency MOSFET based decoupling function for secure power N+1 redundant operation without the need for an external decoupling unit or use of inefficient 'OR-ing' diodes to its Dimension CP Series.
The new family offers a 100-240VAC wide range input voltage and an output of 24VDC rated at 10A or 20A. Ruggedised with a conformal coated PCB the CPxx.241-R2-C1 versions are perfect for placing in harsh environments. The power supply is ideal for usage in battery or other DC power systems and the CPxx.241-R2 models provide an enhanced input range of 88 to 360VDC.
The ultra-compact power supply range is only 39mm and 48mm wide and can be specified with either quick-connect spring-clamp terminals or hot-swap connectors, ensuring no-break power in mission-critical applications.
All international safety agency approvals are satisfied and the series complies fully with the needs of hazardous locations – Class 1, Div 2 Groups A, B, C, D locations, IECEx, and ATEX by design.
Typical applications cover trackside rail application, industrial systems, smart buildings and factories, renewable energy, drives and controls, transportation, marine, water processing, semiconductor manufacture, robotics and medical.
Marco van der Linden, UK country manager, for PULS comments: “Secure no-break power supply is essential for many industrial and control systems. Our N+1 redundant, hot-swappable DIN- Rail power supplies reduce system complexity and cost, offer shorter installation times and space savings of more than 45% over conventional power solutions. With the addition of conformal coating, our products will now find even more applications in harsh environments. The PULS CP series are efficient, compact and reliable and have a highly sophisticated thermal design delivering the lowest cost of ownership to the end-user.”
