Mouser has signed a global distribution agreement with Fractus Antennas. Through the agreement, the company's now stocking a range of Fractus Antennas’ chip antenna solutions, incorporating Virtual Antenna (mXTEND) and Xtend devices for cellular, wireless, and IoT applications.
The company’s mXTEND chip antenna boosters are based on Virtual Antenna technology, owned by the company. The technology is intended to replace conventional antenna solutions for off-the-shelf, standardised, and miniature antenna booster components.
Offered in a mixture of shapes, sizes, and functions, the mXTEND solutions offer GPS, 3G, 4G, 5G, NB-IoT, LoRa, Wi-Fi, and Sigfox performance in wireless device applications including IoT, smart watches, smartphones, sport navigators, wearables, digital cameras, tablets, and handsets. For the development of antenna solutions — such as RUN mXTEND for high performance in IoT devices, or TRIO mXTEND, a multiport antenna component that incorporates GNSS and mobile simultaneously — also stocked are mXTEND evaluation boards.
The company’s Micro Reach Xtend and Slim Reach Xtend devices are representatives of small chip antennas for employment in devices that operate in the 2.4GHz ISM band. The Micro Reach Xtend antenna couples small size and decreased clearance area (7mm x 3mm x 0.9mm) with high performance and integration flexibility. Taking advantage of the space-filling characteristics, this monopole antenna is excellent for highly scattered indoor environments and small consumer electronics devices.
The Slim Reach Xtend is a small (4.1mm x 2mm x 1mm) rectangular chip antenna ideal for small headset devices with Bluetooth and other 2.4GHz wireless standards. Its wide bandwidth assures high-quality signal reception and transmission over wireless devices and different plastic housings, regardless of how a user positions the devices.
