High-resolution multi-port step attenuators with Ethernet control

Vaunix has released the first two in a series of their Lab Brick devices offered with Ethernet control. The two new multiport Lab Brick Digital Attenuators are the four-port LDA-802Q, and the eight-port LDA 802-8, each operating from 200MHz to 8GHz for a variety of L, S, and C-band applications that need the requirement for single-shot or repeating attenuation ramps.

These solid-state, rugged, yet low-cost 50Ohm step attenuators are bi-directional and provide a high dynamic range of 120dB. They also offer an impressive, ultra-fine step size of 0.1dB for excellent signal attenuation control.

These portable and programmable RF/microwave test devices have been created to suit high-speed MIMO test platforms as they are simply programmed for fixed attenuation or swept attenuation ramps/fading profiles directly from the included GUI. Further testing applications incorporate Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, 5G, LTE, and DVB systems, and microwave radio simulators.

Test technicians wanting to develop their own interface can employ the company's included LabVIEW drivers, Windows API DLL files, Linux drivers, macOS SDK examples, and more.

These portable, hand-held attenuators can also be supplied as a single rack unit for ATE stands. Other custom engineering of electrical and mechanical specifications is also offered.
