Portwell has launched its new ROBO-6912VG2AR. The device is a new PICMG 1.3 half-size SBC providing both workstation and desktop processors of the 8th/9th Generation Intel Core i3/i5/i7/Pentium/Celeron processor (Coffee Lake-S platform) with Intel Q370 chipset and Intel Xeon E-2100/2200 family processor with C246 chipset up to eight cores 3.4GHz (35-65W) in LGA 1151 socket. The device provides increased performance and processing efficiency, making it suitable for embedded systems that need a small physical presence, while achieving high computing power and rich I/O for flexible expansion capabilities.
The system host board (SHB) is an excellent option for balanced or performance-demanding applications, including factory automation, industrial control systems, automated test equipment, medical/healthcare imaging systems, digital signage, broadcasting systems, digital security surveillance, transportation and communication testing equipment.
As it uses SHB architecture, the new device reduces field service and maintenance and decreases total downtime, as well as this, it gives energy efficiency and an optimised performance balance of computing power, accelerated graphic processing and overall power consumption. The device is high flexibility for expansion with the backplanes enables it to support multiple peripheral control. It is an easily updateable product that can be installed with an older generation SBC and with the latest CPUs. Customers also profit from the long-life cycle support of ten-plus years.
