Surface-mount compact high efficiency DC-DC converters with wide input ranges

RECOM has added the RSH2 series to its DC-DC converter range. The series offers a fully regulated, low noise, isolated 2W DC-DC converter in a surface mount package. The series provides nominal inputs of 3.3V (2.8-5.5V), 5V/9V (4.5-13.2V), 12V (9-18V), and 24V (18-36V), ideal for battery or bus-powered systems. The outputs offered are 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, and 24V. The parts have short-circuit and overcurrent protection, and they meet EN 55032 class A or B limits for input noise with a simple external filter. No minimum load is needed, and on/off control is standard.

The series operates from -40C to 85C without derating, making the product ideal for demanding test and measurement, industrial, and transport applications.

The isolation rating is 2kVDC/60s (optionally 3kVDC/60s) with UL/IEC/EN 62368-1 certification. The parts are RoHS-2 compliant.

The series is provided in a compact, lightweight DIP14 SMD case, in tube or tape-and-reel packaging. The parts can be IR-oven or vapour-phase reflow soldered utilising industry-standard JEDEC profiles.
