Custom AC/DCs and DC-DCs offer cost-effective solutions

RECOM can supply fully custom, semi-custom and modified-standard AC/DC and DC-DC converters with a broad range of standard products from 0.25W up to tens of kW.

They also offer semi-custom designs and modifications to existing products at competitive costs. Modification costs are kept low due to automated production lines providing benefits with the economies of scale through various methods such as reusing existing tooling and production equipment and access to its extensive on-site component stock.

It also offers an extensive library of platform designs to call on, mainly through its Italian sister company PCS, which specialises in fast-turnaround, high-power and full-custom solutions. These proven platform designs can usually be readily adapted for other applications with no extensive development or certification costs.

The customisation and standard product modification service include low to high-power AC/DCs and DC-DCs, battery chargers and conditioners, AC inverters, PFC front-ends, and much more. All major application areas are covered – including industrial, energy, aerospace, medical, mobility and defence COTS. Per customer needs, fully customised and semi-custom products can also be provided with the required safety and EMC certifications.
