Compact 500W DC-DC plug and play converter for e-mobility applications

RECOM has launched its cost-effective RMOD500-W range of compact, plug-and-play DC-DC converters for off-highway E-mobility applications. Providing 500W output, the fully-enclosed, chassis-mounted parts are available with an IP67 rating and feature an input range of 32-96V, ideal for nominal 48V, 60V, 72V and 80V battery supplies. Outputs offered are 13.7V, 13V, 12.4V, 11.7V, 24.5V and 23.5V, and parts can be paralleled for higher power. The certified isolation rating is to 2.25kVDC, and ambient operating temperature range is from -40C to +90C.

Comprehensive protection includes input under-voltage and reverse polarity, over-temperature and output over-current and over-voltage. Parts have been fully qualified for EMC, shock/vibration, thermal shock/temperature cycling, salt mist, water/dust ingress and safety.

The range is 198mm x 113mm x 45mm, including connectors and is designed for baseplate cooling. Thanks to the water- and dust-proofing, including connectors, the product can be fitted in any unprotected vehicle area.
